Janet Jackson Gets Icon Award & Performs On TV For 1st Time In 7 Years at AMAs

On May 26, Janet Jackson was honored with the Icon Award at the 2025 American Music Awards. The 59-year-old songstress also gave her first televised performance in seven years. She dazzled the audience with hits like “All For You” and “Someone to Call My Lover.” During her acceptance speech, the youngest member of the legendary Jackson family was too humble to call herself an “icon,” but she did admit that she believes her family’s success is a grand representation of the American dream.
